Getting ready to begin creating actions, I decided to research how to make a character interact with objects. I've never had to do that before, but this project kinda requires it. Luckily, I found a short and sweet video that breaks down how to do it. I'm documenting it so I can look back on the steps once I do the actual actions.

The creator added a bone that intersected both the object and the character model. He then parented the object to the bone (with automatic weights). In pose mode, he added a bone constraint, making it the "Child Of" the left hand bone. Lastly, he clicked the "Set Inverse" button.

Using this simple tutorial is sure to give my animation more realism, and come out with a more refined product!
