As I finish up my main character model, I continue to work on my plans for the environment. I changed my original plan. What I was going to do was create three separate scenes: one in the royal chambers, one a hallway inside the castle, and an exterior shot of the castle/village. I shortened what I had to model down to one, the royal chamber. I combined the function of the hallway (where the painting was gonna be displayed) and the royal chamber (where most of the animation was gonna take place). I did this because, due to the gaudiness that I want from my king's room, it would take a long time just to do one environment, let alone three. For the exterior shot, I plan to just make a painting.

Below is a floor plan for the king's room. Not exactly to scale, but I still want the room to be a reasonable size which I will make up for with the ornate items placed within.

For the color scheme of the room, I want to have purple and gold. Not only do they compliment each other, they are also obvious displays of wealth and status. There are light fixtures in this room. I wanted it to be just windows. The visual stimulation will be helpful, but it's also a metaphor for looking outward instead of within which fits in with my theme.
